Kisaragi, Seiji
Summary
Seiji Kisaragi first appears in the manga Gokinjo Monogatari, where he takes on a role as an assistant to Mikako’s mother. Although he initially attended Yaza-gaku, his ultimate ambition is to study abroad and pursue a career as a hair stylist. As he spends more time working alongside Mikako’s mother, the two grow closer, with Mikako beginning to see him as a brother figure. This dynamic is not immediately welcomed by Tsutomu, who is less than approving of their developing relationship. Seiji makes a minor appearance in Paradise Kiss as well, where there are rumors suggesting he is George’s lover. A running gag throughout both Gokinjo Monogatari and Paradise Kiss involves Seiji being perceived as an alien. The joke originates when Mikako inexplicably concludes that he possesses transport abilities, leading her to believe he is extraterrestrial. When Mikako asks him directly about this, he jokingly confirms it. Her conviction is so strong that she shares the secret with her younger sister Miwako, who later references Seiji as being from the "Glitter Planet" in Paradise Kiss.
