Hitori Gotou is a first-year student at Shuka High School who is characterized by her profound loneliness and social anxiety. She identifies as an in-ya, a term for a gloomy person who prefers staying indoors, and considers herself an outcast. Despite her introverted nature, she harbors a strong desire to join a band and gain popularity, which leads her to learn how to play the guitar. As the lead guitarist of Kessoku Band, she is known for a verbal tic where she starts nearly every sentence with the word "Ah."
