Summary

Rei is a strikingly handsome oni whose primary interest lies in consuming food. He possesses the ability to transform into an ushitora, a massive hybrid creature resembling a cross between a tiger and a bull. Due to his incomplete mastery of the language, Rei struggles to speak Japanese fluently, limiting his verbal responses to just one or five words at a time. In his youth, both Ran and Lum were romantically involved with him. He eventually became engaged to Lum, a decision that broke Ran’s heart and caused her to develop a deep hatred for Lum. Although Lum later ended their engagement, Rei traveled to Earth to pursue her and win back her affection. During this time, he exhibited extreme jealousy toward Ataru, often transforming into his ushitora form when enraged.
