Bao, a former officer in the Army of the Republic of Vietnam, currently operates the Yellow Flag Bar, a beloved haunt of the Lagoon Company. He established the establishment after fleeing Vietnam following the fall of Saigon, mirroring the path of many other ARVN soldiers. The bar’s name pays homage to the former South Vietnamese flag, which featured a yellow field with three red stripes. When Rock first visited the Yellow Flag Bar as a hostage of the Lagoon Company, he described it as the quintessential 'Bar at the end of the world.' Its patrons typically consist of Roanapur’s most desperate individuals, including pirates, smugglers, prostitutes, and those who have lost all hope.
