Summary

Known as the Golden Witch and Endless Witch, Beatrice serves as the primary antagonist of the series and is fondly called "Beato." She first emerges during the Tea Party of Legend of the Golden Witch, confronting Battler regarding his denial that his friends and family were killed by magic. She issues a challenge for him to prove otherwise through a game starting from Turn of the Golden Witch onward. Having lived for over a millennium, she is said to appear as a cloud of golden butterflies and possesses the power to summon higher demons from the seventy-two pillars to serve her. Legends claim that humans can summon her to grant wishes in exchange for compensation, although she frequently acts whimsically. She is rumored to have provided Kinzou with ten tons of gold and served as the alchemic advisor to the Ushiromiya family.
