Summary
Meroko Yui serves as the partner and romantic interest of Takuto Kira within the shinigami team known as Negi Ramen. Their mission involves collecting the soul of twelve-year-old Mitsuki Kouyama. As a rabbit shinigami characterized by long ears, Meroko possesses the ability to transform into an anthropomorphic bunny stuffed toy. She is known for her hot temper and moody demeanor, particularly regarding her unrequited feelings for Takuto, who remains oblivious to her constant attempts to impress him. Although she endeavors to support Mitsuki’s singing career, her suggestions frequently lead the girl into trouble. In the anime adaptation, Meroko enjoys altering her appearance to resemble other characters and is recognizable by her signature catchphrase, "Mero Mero Change!"
