Komeiji, Satori
Summary
Following the separation of the underground city from Hell, Komeiji Satori assumed the role of Mistress of the Palace of the Earth Spirits. Her unique ability to read minds instills fear in various youkai and spirits, yet it endears her to animals that are otherwise unintelligible. She manages the ruins of inferno where her residence stands, keeping these creatures as pets. Because her large number of pets made governing the Hell of Blazing Fires difficult, she delegated portions of its management to them. These pets oversaw other pets, tended gardens, and cared for her younger sister. Unexpectedly, a human from above ground arrived and inquired about evil spirits and a geyser. Satori entrusted Orin with the evil spirits and Utsuho with the Hell of Blazing Fires, believing both were loyal and unlikely to cause trouble. Assuming the human was lying or attempting to deceive her, she read her heart and was surprised by what she found. There was little evidence in the human’s mind regarding evil spirits or geysers. Suspicious, Satori tested her and eventually permitted the Heroine access to the Hell of Blazing Fires to question her pets about their alleged problem. The kanji for Komeiji mean "ancient and pure/bright earth." Although Satori is not written in kanji, her name is pronounced like "satori" (悟), meaning enlightenment or profound understanding, and also refers to her youkai species. No voice actors have been added to this character.
