Summary
Midori Tamaru is a first-year student at Mizusawa High School and a member of the Karuta Club, specifically within the Saitama Sakura Society's A Class. As the most dominant figure among the newest recruits, she strives to establish her authority by challenging senior members to determine who can win the most games. Her desire to be the center of attention alienates her fellow new members; when the seniors attempted to engage with the rest of the group, Tamaru simply walked out of the club room. Outside of club activities, she remains largely solitary. She appears to have no friends in her class and spends her break periods playing karuta entirely by herself.
