Summary
Henry Marker, the father of Karin Maaka, is a vampire who exhibits a surprisingly human and often silly demeanor. Although Karin is a sixteen-year-old teenager, Henry continues to regard her as very young. His deep affection for her is evident in his willingness to risk himself for her safety; when Karin experienced her first nosebleed while attending a human school, Henry ventured into sunlight to rescue her from hospital staff who might have discovered her true nature as a vampire, resulting in severe burns to his body. He also displays typical paternal jealousy when it becomes apparent that a romantic connection might develop between Karin and Kenta Usui. While he is frequently dominated by his wife, Carrera Marker, Henry possesses a fierce side that he rarely shows to others. Similar to other vampires, he is accompanied by an unnamed bat familiar distinguished by its glowing red eyes.
