Summary
Ashura serves as the central protagonist and the sole survivor of the Ashura clan. He was born in the aftermath of Taishaku-ten murdering his father and usurping the throne. Concurrently, his mother Shashi gave birth to Ten-ou, Taishaku-ten’s son, and attempted to murder Ashura, believing him to be an obstacle to her goal of ruling Heaven alongside Taishaku-ten. His innate powers shielded him by encasing him in a cocoon, where he remained in an undisturbed slumber for three centuries until Yasha-ou awakened him. Upon emerging from his cocoon, Ashura initially appears as an infant but undergoes rapid growth, eventually resembling a child of approximately eight years old. Although he starts out outgoing and friendly, he soon realizes the cruelty of his fate as Taishaku-ten systematically kills almost everyone he befriends. Burdened by guilt over their deaths, he makes a vow to grow strong enough to defeat Taishaku-ten personally.
