Summary
Narumi Katou is a gentle Japanese man who excels in Chinese martial arts. His life takes a dark turn when he contracts Zonapha syndrome, a rare condition that causes severe respiratory distress and excruciating pain. The only temporary relief for this affliction is to make someone laugh. Desperate to survive, Narumi attempts to become a clown, but his comedic skills are abysmal. His fortunes change when he encounters Masaru, a young boy who genuinely finds his jokes amusing. Witnessing that Masaru is in trouble, Narumi resolves to step up and assist him.
