Summary
Serving as Father Cornello’s right-hand man, Cray was a zealous adherent to the priest’s religion. Upon the arrival of Ed and Al in Lior, Cornello informed Cray that Ed was a State Alchemist likely conducting reconnaissance. Acting on Cornello’s orders to eliminate the Elrics in the name of their god, Cray attempted to assassinate them, but his shot intended to destroy Alphonse’s head merely exposed the boy’s empty armor. Later, during the siege of Lior, Cray searched for Cornello but instead encountered the Homunculi. He was subsequently devoured by Gluttony. His skeleton is visible inside Gluttony’s stomach near the end of chapter 50.
