Summary
Sunohara Youhei is a student at the school who serves as a close friend to Tomoya. Despite his appearance as a delinquent, he originally entered the institution on an athletic recommendation for soccer. However, his status changed after he was expelled from the soccer club following his involvement in a fight. This incident caused him to become lazy, resulting in an absence rate higher than even Tomoya's, earning him and his friend the nickname "Dirty Pair." Youhei plays a significant role in several character routes, particularly within the Sunohara siblings' arc, which focuses heavily on his relationship with his sister, Mei. She strives to help him recover his former self. In the After Story arc and the movie adaptation, Youhei is portrayed with more seriousness than just comic relief. He takes on a part-time job to support his family's financial situation and works alongside Tomoyo to help alleviate Tomoya's depression.
