Summary
In the Triangle Heart series, Miyuki is the cousin of Kyouya and Nanoha, though she is raised by their family and views them as siblings. She shares a deep bond with Kyouya, and both are accomplished practitioners of the Mikami twin kodachi style of swordsmanship. The siblings are hired to protect their childhood friend Fiasse, a legendary singer and heiress, alongside her official bodyguard, Ellis. Tensions arise between the three guards, forcing them to learn mutual respect as they safeguard Fiasse during a global concert tour from kidnappers. Miyuki and Kyouya coordinate seamlessly, and while Miyuki proves highly competent, such as when she single-handedly defeats a Special Duties Unit team in the first OVA, she dislikes combat, viewing it merely as a necessary duty to protect her loved ones. In Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha, Miyuki is the biological sister of Nanoha and Kyouya, living with them, their mother Momoko, and their father Shirō. She appears as a minor character but remains extremely close to Kyouya, and both retain their excellence as swordsmen. During the first season, Miyuki is unaware of the existence of magic. Her perspective shifts only at the end of A's when she discovers Nanoha’s powers. In one instance, Nanoha observes Miyuki’s solo training to improve her technique with the magical staff Raising Heart.
