Summary
Sena Kobayakawa is the protagonist of Eyeshield 21, a first-year student at Deimon who stands 155 cm tall and weighs 48 kg. Born on December 21 with blood type A, he originally attended Deimon 2nd Middle School. Initially an introverted and timid runner, his extraordinary speed was discovered by Hiruma, who essentially forced him to join the Deimon football team. Over time, Sena develops a genuine passion for the sport and gains the confidence to become a skilled player, mastering techniques such as the Speed of Light Pace. While he can initially only access this burst of speed through intense emotions, it often causes him to overextend and faint. As the story progresses, he learns to activate the Speed of Light Pace at will. Following the Death March, he develops additional moves: the Devil Bat Ghost, which allows him to cut without stopping; the Devil Bat Hurricane, which adds a spin to the Ghost; and the Devil Stungun, where he uses one arm to block. He wears jersey number 21 and plays as both a running back and free safety.
