Summary
Gunpei Shouji serves as the head coach and trainer for the Ojo White Knights. He is known for wearing a hat that resembles the style of legendary NFL head coach Tom Landry. During his university days, Shouji was an ace player on his football team alongside Deimon’s trainer, Doburoku. The duo earned the nickname the Twin Japanese Blades. Unlike Doburoku, Shouji managed to avoid serious injuries during the grueling Death March Training. As a coach, he is strict yet fair, holding a firm belief that victory is only possible through ultimate defense. He quickly identified Shin’s potential and ordered the upperclassmen to ensure no other clubs recruited him. Currently, Shouji considers the White Knights to be the strongest team they have ever fielded.
