Shueisha Debuts 'Cannon Master' with Cover Launch in Weekly Shonen Jump

Shueisha has officially launched a new serialization in its flagship Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. Cannon Master by Reiya Machida debuts in issue #30 of 2026, arriving with cover artwork and lead color pages that signal strong publisher support for the project.
The story unfolds in a vivid world of wind and sand. It follows a skilled statue slayer named Bharat and his apprentice, who has already outclassed his master in raw power. The action fantasy pits the duo against demonic statues and other threats in battles that promise a fresh visual edge.
For Machida, the moment caps years of one-shot contributions to Jump. This marks the creator's first full ongoing series in the magazine, and Shueisha is positioning it prominently from day one.
The first chapter drops this Sunday and will be available to read for free on the Shonen Jump app and Shueisha's global MANGA Plus service. Early promotion emphasizes the distinctive setting and master-apprentice dynamic.
The addition brings another original voice into the weekly rotation, offering readers a new battle fantasy built around an unconventional power imbalance and exotic world-building.
