Sgt. Frog x Gundam: First Collab Brings Creator Art and Exclusive Model Kits

The long-rumored dream team-up is finally here. Sgt. Frog and Mobile Suit Gundam have launched their first official collaboration, timed perfectly with the June 26 theatrical debut of the new Shin Gekijōban☆Keroro Gunsō movie.

Manga creator Mine Yoshizaki and Gundam character designer Yoshikazu Yasuhiko each contributed brand-new illustrations for the occasion. Yoshizaki's pieces playfully reimagine classic Gundam film trilogy posters, while Yasuhiko captured a heartwarming moment with Amuro Ray, Char Aznable, and a delighted Keroro. A fresh preview clip from the movie also teases Gundam mobile suits — including a striking red Zaku — joining the Keroro Platoon in battle.

Exclusive merchandise seals the deal for fans and builders alike. Two commemorative model kits are on the way: the Keroro Robo Mk-II reimagined in Titans colors, available from June 26, and a Premium Bandai-exclusive RG 1/144 Gundam Mk-II decked out in Keroro specs. Theaters screening the film will also offer limited goods including oversized acrylic stands and themed accessories.

After more than two decades of Keroro's enthusiastic Gundam references across the anime and manga, this crossover feels like a heartfelt payoff. With fresh model kits and the movie on the horizon, the invasion just got a whole lot more mechanical.
