Romelia Senki Swaps Directors, Debuts First PV With Four Knight VAs

The official site for Romelia Senki (Romelia War Chronicle) has dropped its first promotional video and a fresh wave of cast credits, locking a two-cour television run for October 2026 on Tokyo MX, BS11, Sun TV, and KBS Kyoto. The reveal lands as production at studio Atra also confirms a mid-stream leadership change: Kouji Saitou is now series director, succeeding Hiroshi Shirai on the adaptation of Ryou Ariyama’s light novel.

Four knight roles round out the new voice lineup. Shouya Chiba steps in as Granbell von Andre, with Gakuto Kajiwara as Ragnbell von Gyunos, Ryuunosuke Watanuki as Otterheim von Berak, and Shun Horie as Kyleren von Grenstorm. Series composition and scripts fall to Aya Satsuki, while Yoshiko Saitou and Yuuta Ootaka handle character design and KOHTA YAMAMOTO scores the series.

Ariyama’s post-war fantasy first appeared on Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2019 before Shogakukan’s Gagaga Books imprint brought it to print with illustrations by Kodama; the sixth novel volume shipped in November 2025. Ryou Kamito’s manga adaptation continues via Mag Garden, and Seven Seas Entertainment is rolling out the English comic volumes through this summer—giving international readers a runway before the anime’s two-cour autumn campaign.
