HIDIVE Inks Largest MBS Deal, Locks Nia Liston for Fall Simulcast

AMC Global Media’s HIDIVE just doubled down on Japan. The streamer and Mainichi Broadcasting System have locked a new multi-year exclusive output deal—HIDIVE’s largest programming pact to date—that hands the platform first crack at MBS’s upcoming anime slate outside Asia.

The agreement expands a 2023 alliance that already funneled HIDIVE exclusives such as I Parry Everything and The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior. Under the new terms, those future MBS series will simulcast for subscribers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and other non-Asian territories.

Leading the charge is Nia Liston: The Merciless Maiden, KONAMI animation’s fall adaptation of Umikaze Minamino’s light novel. A god-slaying hero wakes up as a frail noble girl and still goes hunting for a fight—while also dipping into Magic Vision celebrity work. Honoka Inoue stars; Motoki Nakanishi directs. Japan’s broadcast opens October 6 on Tokyo MX, MBS, and BS NTV, with HIDIVE carrying the English-subbed simulcast as part of its Fall 2026 season.

Before TV, HIDIVE will screen the series for North America on August 21 at Anime NYC (4:00–5:00 p.m. ET, Javits Center). An English trailer is already out; the rest of the MBS slate lands later.
