Firefly Wedding Locks Oct. 9 Debut, New Cast & TOOBOE Ending

The official site for the TV anime of Oreco Tachibana’s Hotaru no Yomeiri (Firefly Wedding) just lit another lantern: a second teaser promo, two new cast members, the ending theme, and a hard premiere date of October 9, 2026. The series will air Fridays at 11:30 p.m. on Fuji TV’s noitaminA block.

Joining the ensemble are Kent Itō as childhood bodyguard Kōtarō Ogawa and Kenjirō Tsuda as yakuza fixer Mitsueda—key figures in Satoko and Shinpei’s dangerous orbit. Singer-songwriter TOOBOE contributes the ending track “Yumegokochi” (Trance), which already threads through the new promo.

David Production continues under director Takahiro Kamei, with series composition and scripts by Yūko Kakihara, character designs by Yukiko Aikei, and music by NOGRID. Tachibana’s MangaONE historical romance—also available in English via Viz—has been building toward this fall window since the adaptation was greenlit earlier this year. The second teaser is out now; mark the calendar for October 9.
