ERASED Creator Kei Sanbe Launches Aria’s Adventures in Miracleland

Kei Sanbe, the creator behind the hit thriller ERASED (Boku dake ga Inai Machi), has opened a new manga chapter with Aria’s Adventures in Miracleland (Kiseki no Shima no Aria). Kadokawa’s Comic Newtype digital magazine announced the series, and the first chapter is already live on the KadoComi platform for free-to-read fans to sample.

The story follows a girl who never seems to belong anywhere and confides only in her father. When he asks her to stand lookout during a crime, the job slides into robbery and murder, pulling her into the aftermath. She later comes to on what looks like an empty island—setting up the kind of uneasy, character-driven mystery Sanbe is known for.

The launch follows the close of Sanbe’s The 13th Footprint (13-kai Me no Ashiato) on the same Comic Newtype lineup, which wrapped in December 2025 with its seventh tankōbon from Kadokawa. English readers already know that title through Yen Press, while Sanbe’s other recent work includes Reto the Protector on Square Enix’s Big Gangan and Snow Drop I Desire Your Death in Young Gangan.

Sanbe’s global profile still rests heavily on ERASED, which earned major award nominations, a 2016 TV anime, a Japanese live-action film, and a Netflix drama. Aria’s Adventures in Miracleland looks like another dark, intimate serial from a creator who thrives on ordinary lives cracked open by sudden violence.
