Crunchyroll’s First U.S. Bundle: Starz Pairing Hits Prime Video at $16.99

Crunchyroll has taken its first step into U.S. streaming bundles, pairing with Starz on Amazon’s Prime Video Channels for $16.99 a month—more than 23% off the cost of subscribing to both services alone. The package went live July 29 for eligible U.S. customers, giving one-click access to Crunchyroll’s anime catalog alongside Starz originals and movies without juggling separate apps.

For the anime side of the deal, the bundle opens the door to franchise staples and deep-cut favorites already on Crunchyroll, including Dragon Ball DAIMA, Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, My Hero Academia, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and Cowboy Bebop. Starz brings its own slate of premium drama and action—most notably the Power universe heading into the series finale of Power Book III: Raising Kanan—plus first-run film premieres later this summer.

Executives framed the launch as a discovery play. Crunchyroll’s Terry Li called it a “meaningful step” in how fans find series they love, while Starz Networks president Alison Hoffman stressed reaching new households as viewing habits keep shifting. Prime Video’s Matt Huntley pitched the combo as value and convenience under one roof.

The timing lines up with Crunchyroll’s August 2026 season push—titles such as BLACK TORCH, Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia, Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3, and ONE PIECE HEROINES are already in the conversation—so the bundle is as much a growth funnel as a discount. Existing Amazon users can add the STARZ + Crunchyroll package from Prime Video’s channels lineup and start streaming the same day.
