Crunchyroll Locks ELECEED Worldwide for Early 2027 Stream

Crunchyroll just put a major stamp on its 2027 calendar. At Germany’s AnimagiC convention, the streamer confirmed it will carry ELECEED — the long-running WEBTOON battle series by Jeho Son and Zhena — worldwide outside Japan and China when the TV anime bows in early 2027.
Produced at DandeLion Animation Studio under director Hiroshi Nishikiori, with series composition by Yosuke Kuroda, the adaptation follows reserved high-schooler Jiwoo Seo (Yu Kazahaya in the Japanese cast) after he rescues a battered stray that turns out to be Kayden, one of the strongest Awakened alive. What starts as a cat-and-owner odd-couple setup spirals into ability politics, secret societies, and full-contact power fights — the same mix that has stacked well over a billion global reads on WEBTOON.
The ELECEED pickup was part of a broader AnimagiC licensing haul. Crunchyroll also locked Shangri-La Frontier Season 3 for a January 2027 return, plus October 2026 arrivals including The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World II, Uncle’s Obsession with Cute Things, and The Laid-Off Cheat-Granting Mage Enjoys a Second Lease on Life. For Awakened-action fans waiting on a clear home outside East Asia, the path is now set: when ELECEED sparks up, it sparks on Crunchyroll.
