Zhai Hualong's father works as a martial arts instructor while his grandfather is a practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine. Having trained in martial arts since childhood, he never played football before. After his parents' work relocation, he moves from a small town to a large city, where he faces mockery for being a bit country. His father and grandfather want him to continue in martial arts and traditional Chinese medicine, and they refuse to support his dreams of becoming a professional football player.
Nevertheless, Zhai Hualong develops a deep passion for football and aspires to go pro, while also craving acceptance from his new classmates in the city. He earns a spot on an elite school football team, using his childhood martial arts background to merge football techniques with Chinese martial arts, and simultaneously broadens his knowledge of global football. Through each match, he also imparts to young viewers the values of persistence, teamwork, and an unyielding spirit in the face of hardship.
