Synopsis

Continues the story of Afro Samurai

As a child, Afro witnessed his father being slain by a swordsman named Justice. After the killing, Justice took the Number One headband for himself, drawn by its sacred power, and discarded the Number Two headband. Now an adult, Afro wears the Number Two headband, which grants him the right to challenge the Number One. On his path to avenge his father, Afro faces opposition from every direction. Only the bearer of the Number Two can confront the Number One, but anyone can challenge the Number Two. With countless enemies vying for his position, Afro must endure a relentless stream of foes and trials to reach Justice and complete his quest for revenge.

Afro lives a quiet life as the holder of the Number One headband, the mark of the world's greatest fighter, yet his nights are plagued by recurring nightmares. That peace shatters when Jinno and Sio—old allies from his past—steal both the headband and his father's remains. Sio challenges Afro to recover the Number Two headband and seek revenge against them. With that, Afro sets out on a dangerous new quest, now hunted by anyone who wants to take him down. Afro Samurai: Resurrection follows Afro’s unyielding battle against wave after wave of enemies, cutting through countless opponents on his path to satisfy his burning thirst for vengeance.
