Synopsis

Based on a popular autobiographical manga by Sakura Momoko, Chibi Maruko-chan once achieved a TV audience rating of 39.9%. The nickname Chibi Maruko-chan belongs to a sweetly obnoxious 9-year-old girl. She plays tricks on her grandfather, spends ages deciding how to use her allowance, and dislikes having to sit next to unattractive boys. The way she talks, feels, and behaves is exactly how real children do.
