Synopsis

High school freshman Kazuhiko Nukumizu leads a quiet, solitary life, content to remain in the background of high school life. He rarely ventures into the world of teenage romance, but often wonders what it would feel like to be part of a love story. His life takes an unexpected turn when he witnesses popular classmate Anna Yanami being rejected by her childhood friend at a local diner. Despite wanting to leave the encounter behind, Anna insists on sharing her feelings with Kazuhiko, expressing her belief that childhood friends inevitably lose the ones they love. As Kazuhiko gets drawn into Anna’s emotional turmoil, he also becomes embroiled in the romantic struggles of two other classmates: Lemon Yakishio, an enthusiastic member of the track and field club, and Chika Komari, a reserved member of the literature club. Pushed beyond his usual boundaries, Kazuhiko finds himself at the center of the romantic dramas of several "losing heroines."
