Synopsis

Continues the story of Graduation

As high school graduation draws near, a tight-knit group of five friends struggles to decide what comes next. Juggling their own dreams, family expectations, and social obligations leaves them unsure of the right direction. Knowing their futures might take them to different places, they arrange one last trip together to a hot spring. But their plan goes awry when one girl gets on the incorrect train, cutting her off from the rest. The other friends then band together to track her down and bring everyone back together.

Marriage is an OVA anime comprised of two 30-minute segments from Miki Kasamatsu, each centered on love and the search for a life partner. The first story follows a circle of young women who, after several years out of school, are starting to consider settling down. One friend, Shizuka, lacks any romantic prospects, and her companions worry that her reserved nature will prevent the right man from appreciating her beauty and personality. They convince her to sign up for a matchmaking agency called The Wedding Club. However, when her first arranged date turns out to be rather disappointing, Shizuka begins to doubt whether marriage is meant for her at all. The second episode focuses on a family of five sisters, only one of whom remains unmarried. The cool and composed Kiyomi shows zero interest in finding a husband. Her siblings have other plans, and when a male coworker asks her out, the sisters persuade him to propose on their very first date. Carrying out this scheme is simpler said than achieved, as Kiyomi's formidable demeanor can be quite off-putting. The young man might not actually go through with the proposal, and even if he does, there is no certainty that the strong-willed woman will accept.
