Synopsis

Continues the story of Inazuma Eleven: Reloaded - Soccer no Henkaku

In this special prologue episode of Inazuma Eleven: Ares no Tenbin, the story goes back to the events of the original Inazuma Eleven episode 27 but with a different direction. After defeating Zeus and winning the Football Frontier championship, the Raimon team goes back to their soccer club. Unlike episode 27, there is no alien invasion; instead, their classmates offer them sincere congratulations. Then, Kidou Yuuto and Gouenji Shuuya suggest that the team should aim for worldwide recognition. At that moment, Hibiki Seigou shows up and proposes a challenge match against Barcelona Orb, the current champions of the Spanish youth league.

In this installment

Ares no Tenbin presents an alternate timeline branching from the conclusion of the first season of the original Inazuma Eleven anime. Set after Raimon's Football Frontier triumph, this world never experiences the alien invasion depicted in season two. Instead, Japanese soccer is judged too weak when measured against international standards. Consequently, the Raimon Eleven is broken up, with each member assigned to a different club around Japan in an effort to elevate the nation's overall soccer level. Additionally, sponsorship now plays a decisive role in the world of Japanese youth soccer: any team lacking a sponsor risks being dissolved and cannot enter official matches. The story centers on forward Asuto Inamori and his squad Inakuni Raimon, composed of players from the far-off Inakunijima Island. This team takes the place of the original Raimon Eleven as Raimon Junior High's soccer side, entering the yearly Football Frontier youth tournament as underdogs.
