
Synopsis
Schools across Japan battle fiercely for the title of the nation's top soccer squad, yet Raimon Middle School's team, the Inazuma Eleven, stands on the verge of being disbanded. Mamoru Endou, grandson of the original Inazuma Eleven's goalkeeper, takes it upon himself to breathe new life into the neglected club. To succeed, Mamoru needs both assistance and a measure of fortune. His primary objective is to recruit Shuuya Gouenji, a gifted player who has abandoned the sport. With relentless resolve, Mamoru chases after Gouenji and seeks out additional prospects to bolster the roster. Can Mamoru's determination turn the struggling team around, or is their downward spiral beyond repair?
Background
Inazuma Eleven first started out as a sports role-playing game for the Nintendo DS. The series has had numerous sequels since then. The manga was first published in the Shogakukan CoroCoro Comic and the anime series was produced by game developer Level-5 along with TV Tokyo and OLM. The anime aired in numerous countries around Asia, Europe and Latin America.
