Synopsis
A curse binds both past and present. Mao, a young mystic onmyoji living in the Taisho period of early 1900s Japan, has endured a life-altering curse that has forced him to exist for nine hundred long years. His world grows even more peculiar when he encounters Nanoka Kiba, a junior high school girl who appears to have traveled from the future. Despite her youth, Nanoka has led an unusual life of her own, marked by the traumatic loss of both parents in a grisly accident when she was a small child. When Nanoka decides to revisit that fateful shopping arcade, she is whisked away to a different time and place—a realm where supernatural ayakashi thrive in an era long before her own. There she meets Mao, whose abrupt and puzzling question makes Nanoka see herself and her strange life in an entirely new light. Now the two travelers from different eras join forces to confront the dark forces that hold sway over both their lives.
