Synopsis
Located in the 7th Ward of Thrive Central, Tensho School places a strong emphasis on extracurricular activities, with each club taking part in an annual fall singing contest. Transfer student Saku Otonomiya begins his school year late due to his older sister being hospitalized, making it difficult for him to adjust to his new, bustling environment. Balancing a part-time job and caring for his sister, joining a club seems out of reach. As the singing contest approaches, the school’s singing club plans to perform Sousuke Kagura’s song "Cloudy Days," but Kagura is hesitant to allow it, as the piece requires a three-octave range—a feat he believes only a VOCALOID could achieve. Kagura agrees to let the club use the song if they can find a vocalist capable of hitting those high notes. While working on his next piece, Kagura hears Otonomiya sing "Cloudy Days" perfectly. He then invites Otonomiya to form a unit for the competition. Simultaneously, the singing club tries to convince Otonomiya to join them to secure the rights to perform the song. As the event draws near, Otonomiya must overcome his reservations and decide which team to support.
Background
Actors: Songs Connection is a collaboration between VOCALOID and voice actors with EXIT TUNES, producing many of the songs featured in the show. The series was released on Blu-ray by Funimation on November 3, 2020.
