Synopsis

The story follows Anne's arrival at Green Gables, where she has come to begin a new life with the Cuthberts after spending six months in an orphanage. Anne, an imaginative and spirited orphan, already pictures a bright future ahead of her. However, upon reaching Green Gables, she discovers a serious mistake: the Cuthberts had intended to adopt a boy her age. Now she must face yet another turning point in her life, uncertain whether she will be allowed to remain at Green Gables or be sent back to the orphanage. Even worse, she could end up in the care of Mrs. Blewett, a stern and intimidating older woman. Will she finally manage to find some kindness and happiness despite all these obstacles?
