Humanoid Monster Bem

Synopsis

This story follows three youkai—Bem, Bera, and Barro—who arrive in a large coastal city and sense an evil atmosphere lingering there, brought on by the immoral behavior of humans and the trouble caused by monsters and youkai. They decide to remain in the city and fight against the monsters and yōkai that attack humans, making a few friends along the way. Even though the three are often treated badly by humans because of their appearance, they keep striving to protect the city's people, holding onto the hope that one day their good deeds will earn them the chance to become human.
