Blood Lad

Synopsis

Staz Charlie Blood is a vampire lord governing the Eastern district of the Demon World, feared for his ruthless reputation. However, beneath that intimidating exterior lies an otaku deeply obsessed with Japanese culture who has zero interest in drinking human blood. He prefers to waste time immersed in anime, manga, and video games, leaving his duties to his subordinates. His life shifts when Fuyumi Yanagi, a high school student from Japan, accidentally stumbles into the Demon World, filling Staz with joy. Before he can act on his growing feelings, an attack on his territory causes Fuyumi to die, turning her into a wandering ghost. Consumed by grief, Staz vows to resurrect her, a feat that would also grant him entry to the human world—his ultimate dream. Accompanied by Bell, a spatial magician, and Wolf, a half-werewolf, Staz embarks on a quest to collect the magic required to restore life to humans.

Background

Episodes 1-3 were previewed at a screening in Kadokawa Cinema Shinjuku, Tokyo on June 30, 2013. Regular broadcasting began on July 8, 2013.
