Synopsis

Continues the story of Aldnoah.Zero

After the discovery of a hypergate on the Moon, humanity acquired the ability to travel instantly to Mars. There, settlers uncovered advanced Aldnoah technology, enabling them to establish the Vers Empire and launch a war against Earth. This conflict, known as Heaven's Fall, shattered the Moon and eventually resulted in a fragile ceasefire between the two worlds. Fifteen years later, high school student Inaho Kaizuka witnesses an assassination attempt on Princess Asseylum Vers Allusia, who has come to Earth to mend relations between the Empire and its former home planet. The attack shatters the peace, prompting the Martians to declare war once more. Inaho and his friends are swept into the fight against the Vers Empire, determined to bring an end to the ongoing conflict.

In this installment

The temporary peace between Earth and the Martian Vers Empire has ended after nineteen months. Princess Asseylum of Vers declares Terrans to be wasteful and destructive, ordering her knights to attack Earth and restart the war. Slaine Troyard has risen within Martian society, giving Earth a brief respite from the conflict. However, lasting peace remains out of reach. Those who once fought for survival now find themselves caught in a new violent and uncertain war that will change humanity's future forever.
