Battle Spirits: Sword Eyes

Synopsis

After the emperor's death, Atlantia descended into turmoil marked by riots and civil conflict. Upon assuming the throne, King Yaiba suppressed the rebellion through harsh tactics, executing the disloyal. Although order was restored, the kingdom remained burdened by oppressive governance. Tsurugi Tatewaki, an energetic boy raised in the countryside with only faint recollections of his parents, discovers an unusual sword at home that changes into a Battle Spirits card. When Atlantian soldiers arrive looking for this card, Tsurugi starts to learn the hidden truths about his own history. Joined by a robot named Bringer, Tsurugi travels to the capital, where he meets others wielding similar enchanted blades. As additional enigmas surface, Tsurugi's perception of reality—including his sense of right and wrong—faces growing challenges.
