Synopsis
In the quiet town of Sakuranomori, a close circle of childhood friends must come to terms with the painful separation when one of them, Sana Hidaka, moves away to the bustling city of Tokyo because of his parents' work. Sana says goodbye to his dear friends: the gentle Aoi Oribe, the energetic Wakatsuki twins Shuri and Shuusuke, and the bright Nanaka Yatsushiro. Even with the sadness, he holds onto hope that distance won't weaken their strong ties and the memories they share. When Sana returns five years later at the age of sixteen, he wants to reconnect with his past and pick up where he left off. But he soon discovers that while the town looks largely unchanged, the friends he once knew have changed in surprising ways. Mysterious and dark secrets now hang over Sakuranomori, and each of his friends carries personal troubles and hidden truths that could shatter the bonds they once treasured.
