Synopsis
Animation × Paralympic: Who Is Your Hero? is a special series that showcases fictional Paralympic athletes brought to life through world-renowned Japanese animation. The initiative seeks to introduce new Paralympic sports heroes by developing compelling characters and narratives through the joint efforts of prominent manga artists and animation film directors. The roster of featured sports is planned to expand by 2020. An episode produced by Kyoto Animation was originally set to air in August 2019, but its broadcast was later canceled after it was announced that production could not be finished in time for the 2020 Paralympic Games, following the tragic arson attack on the studio.
