Synopsis
In the glass-enclosed city-state of Flandore, humanity clings to survival against the deadly lycanthropes that plague the outside world. Society within is rigidly split between nobles who wield mana and ordinary commoners without it. Mana grants nobles the extraordinary powers needed to fight the dark creatures, but thirteen-year-old Melida Angel, a noble, struggles as she has yet to awaken her own mana, leading to mistreatment at her prestigious academy. The Angel family hires Kufa Vampir as Melida's tutor, though secretly he is an assassin tasked with eliminating her if she proves manaless. Despite his initial resolve, Kufa is moved by Melida's resilience and confidence during a tense encounter, choosing instead to help her unlock her latent abilities. Under Kufa's guidance, Melida begins to master mana, while Kufa defies his orders, risking his life to conceal her true condition from both the Angels and his own guild. However, protecting this secret grows more perilous as new dangers arise.
