Shigurui: Death Frenzy

Synopsis

In the peaceful early years of the Edo period, Lord Tokugawa Tadanaga starts a martial arts tournament where competitors fight with real weapons instead of the usual wooden ones. The contest pits one-armed Fujiki Gennosuke against blind Irako Seigen. Both are students of Iwamoto Kogan, hailed as Japan's greatest swordsman, and each seeks to inherit his legacy. Only one can win, setting up a story of connected fates, struggle, and strange destinies.
