This initiative explores the possibilities of Chinese animation, with each short film representing a creative pursuit. In its second season, the series broadens audiences' understanding of domestic animation through the unique qualities of short films. These include science fiction narratives examining technological consciousness, coming-of-age stories centered on female self-discovery and resolution, and tales that demonstrate compassion for marginalized groups. The visual approaches range widely, from traditional Chinese ink wash painting and Ghibli-like illustration styles to retro, high-contrast black-and-white designs.
