Synopsis

In the distant past, beings from outer space merged with humans, giving rise to "Mecha-ude"—mechanical limb-like extensions. Hikaru Amatsuga, an ordinary middle school student, unexpectedly bonds with Arma, a one-of-a-kind and extraordinary Mecha-ude. To safeguard Arma, Aki Murasame—a member of the resistance organization ARMS and a wielder of two Mecha-ude—is tasked with keeping a close watch on Hikaru. Yet Aki also hunts a mysterious Snake-Type Mecha-ude user who has gravely wounded several of her allies. Meanwhile, the Kagami Group seeks the fabled "Trigger Arm," a Mecha-ude said to bestow limitless power. When Aki's life comes under threat from this group, Hikaru and Arma must unite to protect themselves and find the courage to confront their enemies, ultimately realizing that Hikaru's existence will never be the same.
