Ai no Wakakusa Yama Monogatari

Synopsis

This comedic story centers on Shizuka, the eldest daughter who remains single and lives at home with no intention of marrying; her mother, who is both irritated by Shizuka and worried about her diminishing marriage prospects; her sister Ikumi, with whom she shares a relationship that is both close and argumentative; and her father, who lives a relatively quiet life in a mostly female household. The comedy emerges from the ridiculous and wildly amusing predicaments that occur in this otherwise ordinary family. The original manga was serialized in Takeshobo's Manga Club magazine. Its title is borrowed from Nippon Animation's long-running adaptation of "Little Women," the anime "Ai no Wakakusa Monogatari."
