Synopsis

Continues the story of Double Decker! Doug & Kirill

In the once peaceful city of Lisvalletta, a dangerous new drug called Anthem has appeared. Those who use it enter an Overdrive state, gaining superhuman abilities that make them nearly unstoppable. Ordinary police forces can't handle the threat, so the Special Crime Investigation Unit SEVEN-O takes over. They rely on a "Double Decker" system, where officers work in pairs. Kirill Vrubel is a regular cop who dreamed of being a hero ever since a terrorist attack threatened his school. His chance comes when his landlord forces him to search for her missing cat. After following the trail to an abandoned warehouse and falling asleep, he wakes up in the middle of a hostage crisis involving an Anthem user. Teaming up with SEVEN-O investigator Douglas "Doug" Bilingam, Kirill earns a spot in the unit. With SEVEN-O backing him, Kirill may finally get the chance to live out his childhood hero fantasies.

In this installment

At the final episode pre-screening event held on Friday, it was revealed that the Double Decker! Doug & Kirill television anime will receive three additional episodes. These are titled Double Decker! Doug & Kirill: Extra, and they will be made available for streaming on Bandai Channel and other streaming services from February through April 2019. The Blu-ray and DVD set containing the extra episodes is scheduled to launch on May 24, 2019.
