Synopsis
Over the course of seventeen years, the Valiante Kingdom, acting on royal orders, has carried out increasingly brutal campaigns to eradicate anyone practicing witchcraft. Unknown to the general public, these witch hunts are actually aimed at the human protectors—the Makai Knights and Alchemists—who defend the world from Horrors, demons born from sorrow and pain. Leon Luis is a seventeen-year-old Makai Knight who wields the legendary Golden Knight Garo armor, which was passed down to him from his mother. Despite his power, he struggles with the bitterness he feels over her death at the hands of the kingdom. Trained by his father German—also known as Zoro the Shadow Cutting Knight—Leon is taken along on a mission to investigate the rising Horror activity in the capital, even though his own determination wavers. As German and Leon journey to the capital, the compassionate prince Alfonso San Valiante works to counter the growing Horror threat. However, he is betrayed and exiled before he can take action, and he sets out to reclaim his throne by searching for allies and power. During his quest, he meets Leon, and their encounter is destined to change both of their lives forever.
