In the online game Glory, Ye Xiu is known as "Battle God" for his extraordinary skill and major contributions as a top-tier professional player. After an unexpected retirement from his esports career, he takes a job at a local internet café. When Glory's tenth server launches, Ye Xiu returns to the game using the name Lord Grim. As he quickly climbs the ranks, many players and well-known guilds become curious about this powerful newcomer. Despite having deep gaming experience and a thorough understanding of the game, Ye Xiu struggles to adjust to the game's updates and to progress without a team or sponsor. Together with new, talented allies, Ye Xiu sets out on another journey to reach the top of Glory.

In the online game Glory, the unspecialized character Lord Grim has gained fame on the 10th server. Many curious players rush to join his new guild, Happy, alarming rival guilds as their members defect. Whispers suggest that Lord Grim might be Ye Qiu, the former pro player known as the "Glory Textbook," making opponents feel defeated before they even fight. Despite skepticism surrounding these rumors, powerful guilds attempt to hinder Lord Grim's growing influence, each acting on their own motives. Unfazed by these obstacles, Lord Grim is determined to enter Glory's cross-server zone, the Heavenly Domain, where characters can reach higher levels. His objective is to form a team of newcomers to compete in the Challenger League, with his sights eventually set on the prestigious Glory Championship.
