Synopsis

Continues the story of NieR:Automata Ver1.1a

In a world devastated by Machine Lifeforms created by aliens, humanity clings to survival from their refuge on the Moon. Earth's fate rests with the artificial androids of YoRHa, designated as soldiers. Under the command of the skilled combat android YoRHa 2-gou B-gata "2B," these forces fight to reclaim the planet from the alien invaders. As the conflict intensifies, the YoRHa soldiers begin uncovering fragments of the truth behind the war's origins. Confronted with this harsh reality, the determined warrior 2B starts to question her mission and the sacrifices demanded for humanity's continued existence.

In the intensifying conflict against the Machine Lifeforms, YoRHa Command and the Resistance are preparing for a decisive, final offensive targeting the robots that dominate the planet. Concurrently, YoRHa units 9-gou S-gata "9S" and 2-gou B-gata "2B" continue their vital reconnaissance mission. Both 9S and 2B grapple with their duties, their connection to each other, and their allegiance to Command. Even after the downfall of the formidable Adam and Eve, the machine forces remain relentless. A mysterious entity known as the "Red Girl" lingers in the shadows, awaiting the ideal moment to act.
