Synopsis

Continues the story of Portable Airport

Portable Airport is a three-minute animated short from Studio Kajino, a production company affiliated with Studio Ghibli. The project was supervised by Yoshiyuki Momose, who is recognized for directing the Ghiblies series. Originally set for release on November 16, 2004, it was intended to be featured on the "Ghibli ga Ippai Special Short Short" DVD along with other Ghibli shorts like Sorairo no Tane, On Your Mark, Space Station No.9, Nandaro, and several commercials. Additionally, the short was screened as part of a double feature before the live-action film Cutie Honey.

This animated music video is the third one produced for the musical group capsule, based on their NEXUS-2060 concept, which imagines a space station resort in the year 2060. Created by Studio Kajino, a branch of Studio Ghibli, and directed by MOMOSE Yoshiyuki, the song was the A-side of the single Aeropolis, released on September 7, 2005. The animation debuted on September 10, 2005, as part of a double feature alongside the live-action film Touch.
